Hi Welcome to our Website for Sunny Days. As a mum, Wife and a Director and the many other roles that come with it I will ensure that the nursery runs to the highest of standards so that all children benefit from the same level of care as I would expect for my own. (Now 28 and 26). Therefore, I am so passionate about my nursery because I can remember my own children attending this nursery. So now it is sentimental as much as passion. It is not a business it my passion, my hobby and life. I want the children to feel like it is their second home where they feel comfortable safe and secure whilst benefiting from a stimulating learning environment. (after all it is my second home too).
I started working as a parent helper for the preschool when my children were nursery age and then went on to study in childcare while working as an assistant. Worked towards my level 2, 3, 4 and 5 and completed my Degree in Childhood Studies. In my time at the preschool I have seen the preschool run by a parent committee struggling with all the responsibilities of a committee, nearly closing because lack of support then taking a gamble myself by turning it into a limited company to save it from closure in 2014. The pressures of the role affected my own health and unfortunately, I became poorly in 2017 which then I decided to employ a manager to help relief the pressure. I am proud of what myself and all the team past and present have achieved and proud that we are still fighting and still going strong. Also, alongside my team since taking over as a business we are delighted in Achieving two OfSTED outcomes in a row of ‘Good’. Our aim is to achieve higher.
My husband sorts all the maintenance for me and supports me in keeping it open and running effectively even though we come across all the ongoing problems we have in the upkeep of the building. The building is leased and the support we receive in maintaining it is minimal. He also has great ideas himself in adding to play areas. :)
I love to create play areas for children. I love to help them learn and help them lead their play and learning. I am a creative person with imagination and love to support staff families and children to be enthusiastic in what they do. I support my team and always look at ways in how they can develop professionally and help me in providing this happy caring and learning environment for children and their families.

Hi my name is Chloe, I have over six years of experience working within the childcare industry starting off as a student and I gradually worked myself up to a level five qualification. I achieved this in July 2023 before having my own child the following month. As a mum myself I understand the care and dedication required to support your children in the earliest years of their lives. I am very progressive minded and I work alongside Jo and the rest of the wonderful team here at Sunnydays to provide your children with a safe, secure and happy environment within which they can play, develop and achieve to their fullest potential. In my spare time I enjoy reading, and spending time with my friends and my own little family.

Maya Collis-SENCO/Deputy/DDSL/Room Leader-Butterflies
Hello, my name is Maya. I’m 22 years old and I gained my Level 3 in 2020.
I work in the Butterflies room (3-4 years), and help children get ready for their next step into primary education.
I will always go the extra mile to make sure that the children are having the best time at preschool, whether this be me letting them turn me into a chicken with a magic wand or getting extremely messy in slime or paint.
Working with the Butterflies is so rewarding and there isn’t anything else I would want to do. Watching the children reach milestones and grow, is only a small part of what makes my job amazing!
